Up inflection makes you sound like a sales person and that is what you DO NOT want. ) Practice&..but don't put off making calls until you are perfect OR you will never start.

Hi, Rick.  This is (FULL NAME) calling.  I have a business  matter I need to discuss with you as soon as possible.  I can be reached at ( S-a-y- S-l-o-w-l-y) (area code) Phone-Number. Repeat slowly (Area code)- Phone-Number.   CLICK (Hang up) Do NOT say thank you , OR have a good day OR anything else. Just simply hang up the phone.

The better your posture gets, the higher the rate of return calls. Practice, record your voice till the return calls reach approx 70%.

When they call back, and they will (not all but a LOT more than usual), simply go forward with the
beginning of the prospecting script.  Example
: Oh, yes, Joan, Im glad you returned my call.  You may have spoken to an assistant of mine…
